What is the nanobi Tally Adaptor?

The nanobi Tally Adaptor is an application provided by nanobi to automate the extraction of data from Tally as is required by the nanobi Financial Performance Analytics application. The adaptor connects to Tally using Tally’s own XML interface and leverages the REST APIs exposed by the nanobi platform to load data into the Financial Performance Analytics application.

How to install the nanobi Tally Adaptor?

After logging into the nanobi Financial Performance Analytics portal, download the file TallyAdaptor.zip from the First Steps section. Unzip the zip file to a folder on your machine and follow instruction in the ReadMe.txt file.

Is any additional software required to run the nanobi Tally Adaptor?

Everything required to run the Tally Adaptor is available in the TallyAdaptor.zip file downloadable from the nanobi Financial Performance Analytics portal.

What are the Tally Configuration changes required for functioning of the nanobi Tally Adaptor?

The tally instance identified as the source of data to the FPA solution will have to be configured to act as an ODBC server.
Please follow the steps given below to configure Tally as an ODBC server.
Step1: Open the Gateway of Tally
Step2: Open the Tally Configuration Menu ( Press F12 or click F12:Configure)
Step3: In the Configuration Menu, go to “AdvanCed Configuration” ( Option C)
Step4: In the Client/Server Configuration Section, change the configuration settings as mentioned below.
    Tally is acting as : Server
    Enabled ODBC Server : Yes
    Port: 9000

What are the network requirements for functioning of the nanobi Tally Adaptor?

The nanobi Tally Adaptor should be able to communicate to Tally on the configured ODBC port. The machine where the nanobi Tally Adaptor is installed should be internet enabled, to enable communication with the nanobi Financial Performance Analytics Solution hosted at The Analytics Tree

Is Tally required to be up and running for the Tally Adaptor to function?

Yes, you should have Tally running. The company for which you need to pull out data should be loaded in the Tally instance.

Does the nanobi Tally Adaptor allow connections to multiple Tally instances?
A .
Yes. It can be done using the Tally Data Source Configuration screens in the nanobi Tally Adaptor. You need to configure a different Tally Data Source for every Tally Instance & Company Name combination from where you are extracting data.

What is the User ID and Password to be used to login to the nanobi Tally Adaptor?

You need to use the same User ID and Password used to login into the nanobi Financial Performance Analytics application.

What are the different ways to load data into the nanobi Financial Performance Analytics application?
A .
You have two options to load data into the nanobi application. Option1: Direct load into the nanobi application. The nanobi Tally Adaptor extracts and loads the data as a single process. Option2: Data Extract and load into the nanobi application. This is a two-step process where you can extract data in first step and then load the extracted data as the next step. This option gives you the opportunity to review the data before it is loaded to the nanobi application.

You can subscribe to an analytical App subscription for as small as one month. You can buy the subscription for a quarter, multiple quarters, one year or multiple years. We provide very attractive discounts if you buy for multiple quarters or years.

Will I continue to get feature updates if I sign-up for a plan?

Yes, you will get to use updated version of features while you have subscribed to a plan. We may however add a major feature or module that may not be aligned with your subscription plan. We will notify you on advance in such cases.

When does my an analytical App billing start?

The billing starts from the Subscription Start Date mentioned in the Subscription form that you would have signed or confirmed.

When is my first payment due and when do I need to make subsequent payments?

You first payment is due on Subscription Start Date and subsequent payments will be due on 1st day of subsequent month of quarter of year depending upon your billing frequency.

What are supported payment modes?

Currently only through Bank Wire Transfer. We will be adding in payment through creditCard/Debit Cards soon.

What currencies are supported?

The subscription plan is available in INR currency and needs to be paid in INR.

Will I get an invoice?
A .
Yes, you will. You can see all current and past invoices in billing paged under Payments module in an analytical App. If you are unable to get what you are looking for then contact billing(at)theanalyticstree(dot)com

What taxes will be applied on the billing amount?
A .
The an analytical App pricing plan is exclusive of any taxes that may be applicable depending upon which country you belong to. In general, Service Tax is applicable to all customers using a SaaS application. The exact tax information is normally captured in the Subscription form. Please refer to it.

Analytical App payment plans are monthly, quarterly and yearly. What if I join in the middle of a month?

You will be billed for the days in your first month on pro-rata basis and then from the 1st day of subsequent month you will be billed for full month, quarter or year depending upon your billing frequency.

What is the credit period on invoices?
A .
Normally 7 days. Check your Subscription form for exact details. We reserve the right to apply interest as per "Terms of Service" if payments are delayed beyond the credit period.

Are there any discounts if I pay for multiple months in one shot?

Yes, there are attractive volume discounts available if you buy the subscription for multiple months. These are displayed in the subscription form.

Will I be entitled to refund if I cancel my subscription before the expiry date?

No. The paid amount is not refundable if you terminate.

Will I be entitled to refund if I don't use my subscription?

No. The paid amount is not refundable if you do not use the subscription.

Who bears the transaction cost of payment?
A .
If you are making an online payment using payment options available at our website then we bear the transaction cost. If you decide to do payment using any other method then you bear the transaction cost.

theanalyticstree.com is a cloud service owned and operated by nanobi data and analytics Private Limited. Hence you need to pay to nanobi data and analtytics Private Limited

What happens if I cross the usage limits of my subscription plan?

You will be notified by us. We will suggest you best possible option that meet your business goals. The best option may not necessarily be moving to a higher plan.

What happens if I forgot to make payment on or before due date? Will my account get frozen automatically?

No. You will be notified by us. We will, of course, freeze the account if you do not pay even after reminders.
